Coastal areas are dynamic and complex systems that continuously experience changes across various spatial and temporal scales, one of which is shoreline change dynamics. This study aims to analyse shoreline changes in Blanakan District, Subang Regency, during the 1995–2020 period using Landsat satellite imagery and to examine the influence of wave climate and longshore sediment transport on these changes. The results show that the coastal area of Blanakan is predominantly characterised by accretion processes, particularly along the western coast. During the study period, the land area in the coastal region of Blanakan District increased by 7.27 km². Shoreline displacement in the western part reached +1,005.13 m with an average shoreline change rate of +40.21 m/year, while the eastern part experienced a displacement of +63.15 m with an average rate of +2.53 m/year. Wave climatology analysis indicates an average significant wave height of 0.399 m and an average wave period of 3.361 s. The dominant waves propagate from the west–northwest and east–northeast directions under the influence of the monsoon system in the Java Sea. These wave propagation patterns generate bidirectional longshore sediment transport that plays an important role in redistributing fluvial sediments from the Cilamaya and Ciasem Rivers. The supply and redistribution of sediments from these rivers are the main factors controlling the significant accretion processes along the coastal area of Blanakan District.
