This research aims to examine the problem of theft committed by children in the field of criminal law to find out what factors encourage children to commit criminal acts. This research was conducted in Ternate. This research uses Empirical Law that involves data to investigate how the law operates in practice. In other words, the author wants to present data, analyze and interpret theft committed by children from a criminological perspective. The results shows that it turns out that criminal acts committed by children are motivated by several factors with different modes from one to another. From the results of interviews with children who commit criminal acts of theft, researchers will explain the factors that can cause someone to commit crimes. the crime of theft, this can be seen from internal factors and external factors.
