This study aims to determine the effect of the area of plantation crops on the contribution of the plantation sector in South Halmahera Regency from 2017 to 2023. The method used in this study uses simple linear regression. The area of plantation crops is the independent variable and the contribution of the plantation sector is the dependent variable.The results of the study showed that the area of plantation crops did not have a significant effect on the contribution of the plantation sector in South Halmahera Regency. The t-test, which is an individual test, showed a significant value of 0.605, which is greater than the standard significant value of 0.05. The lack of influence of the area of plantation crops on the contribution of the plantation sector is due to the addition of the area or land not being balanced by the quality of human resources that manage it, so that the addition of the area of plantation crops becomes unproductive. For this reason, it is suggested that the local government be able to provide education to the community so that they can manage plantation areas to be more productive.Keywords: Plantation Crop Area, and Plantation Sector Contribution
